Gudrun Hebel
Gudrun Hebel was born in 1963 in the Rhineland. She studied Scandinavian studies, Slavic studies, and political science in Berlin. As a student she had various jobs as a freelance journalist for the German Press Agency (dpa), as a translator, a telephone information operator, and in an accounting office. After holding a permanent position at the Beuth publishing company and gaining other work experience as a reviewer and freelance agent, she started her own literary agency.
"Agentur Literatur Gudrun Hebel" has existed since January 1998. It has been located in the "textetage" in Berlin's Kreuzberg district since 2006.
Agentur Literatur is a literary agency that offers placement and representation services for German authors and provides a communications link between German and Scandinavian publishers.
