Translation » Anne Vonderstein

Anne Vonderstein, born in 1962, completed her M.A. in German studies, philosophy, and comparative religious studies before spending four years teaching German language, literature, and culture at the University of Sussex, England.

She worked for many years as a freelance editor and translator from English for various publishers (including Verlag der Kunst, Rotbuch, Lichtenberg, and Europäische Verlagsanstalt) and coordinated the publication of the Handbook of Organisational Learning (for Oxford University Press) and The Annotated Bibliography of Organizational Learning (for the Social Science Research Center in Berlin, WZB).

Anne continues to edit the publications of the Institute for Mobility Research (ifmo, BMW Group) on a freelance basis. She and journalist Kristina Vaillant have been working as a team since 2003 and founded the vaillant & vonderstein text office.

In 2004 vaillant & vonderstein assumed responsibility for editorial activities, media and public relations, and organization of related events for the Alexander von Humboldt Edition, a major project published by Hans Magnus Enzensberger's Andere Bibliothek.
